Mat3ra participating in RISE-A semiconductor manufacturing consortium event in Tokyo

Mat3ra joined a RISE-A (Revolutionary Innovation by Semiconductor Ecosystem for All Industries) gathering at RISE GATE NIHONBASHI in Tokyo, connecting with Japan's semiconductor manufacturing and materials innovation ecosystem.

Mat3ra joins the RISE-A semiconductor ecosystem in Tokyo

Mat3ra took part in a gathering hosted by RISE-A (Revolutionary Innovation by Semiconductor Ecosystem for All Industries) at RISE GATE NIHONBASHI, a dedicated hub bringing together companies, research associations, and infrastructure organizations working across Japan's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

The venue houses a working community of semiconductor-focused organizations, including the Semiconductor Assembly Test Automation and Standardization Research Association, Japan ReGenerative Infrastructure, the OpenSUSI non-profit organization, and AIST Solutions — reflecting the breadth of the ecosystem RISE-A brings together under one roof.

Talent development and technology roadmaps

Sessions covered the state of Japan's advanced semiconductor design talent pipeline, including a joint program between LSTC and Tenstorrent offering hands-on training across beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks — from EDA tooling to on-the-job training in cutting-edge CPU and AI/ML accelerator design, with roughly 360 participants enrolled since the program opened in 2025. The agenda also previewed an upcoming RISE-A session on the path from GaN technology seeds to real-world implementation, scheduled for October 20, 2026.

Connecting with the broader ecosystem

The event also spotlighted Japan Night x San Francisco, a reception during SEMICON West on October 14, 2026, organized by RISE-A with the Japan Society of Northern California and in cooperation with JETRO San Francisco — another touchpoint linking Japan's semiconductor innovation ecosystem with the global industry.

Why it matters

Participating in RISE-A events like this keeps Mat3ra connected to the organizations, researchers, and manufacturers shaping Japan's semiconductor and materials innovation landscape, and surfaces new opportunities for collaboration across the ecosystem.
