This (open to all) webinar will focus on creating and exploring complex 2D material structures using the `mat3ra-made` Python package. Building on previous sessions, this part demonstrates practical workflows in Jupyter Notebooks to design and analyze systems with disorder, perturbations, and passivation. The session is aimed at materials scientists and engineers of all levels and will include a live demonstration followed by Q&A.

Overview:

This (open to all) webinar will focus on creating and exploring complex 2D material structures using the `mat3ra-made` Python package. Building on previous sessions, this part demonstrates practical workflows in Jupyter Notebooks to design and analyze systems with disorder, perturbations, and passivation. The session is aimed at materials scientists and engineers of all levels and will include a live demonstration followed by Q&A.

Agenda:

1. Introduction

  • Quick recap of the `mat3ra-made` package
  • Categories of structures to be covered in this session

2. Methodology

  • Brief overview of JupyterLite/Jupyter Notebooks usage
  • Walkthrough of specific examples for relevant structure

3. Results: Example Structures

  • Disorder: highlight hands-on notebooks for relevant structures (SiO2, HfO2, TiN)
  • Perturbations: highlight hands-on notebooks for relevant structures (sine wave in graphene)
  • Passivation: highlight hands-on notebooks for relevant structures (Passivated nanoribbons, Si(110) H-passivated)

4. Q&A

Hands-on session for the attendees to try the functionality and ask questions.
