Overview:

This (open to all) webinar will focus on introducing the `mat3ra-made` Python package for the design of real-world materials. We will demonstrate usage with Jupyter Notebooks and the main capabilities. The webinar is targeted at materials scientists at any skill level, will focus on hands-on real-time demonstration, and will include ample time for questions.

Agenda:

1. Introduction

  • Mat3ra-Made
  • Python package to construct real-world structures.
  • Package structure and categorization: where to find specific functions

2. Methodology

  • JupyterLite/Jupyter Notebooks (IDE/ Pyodide)
  • List of available notebooks
  • Load/save/visualize materials
  • create specific examples

3. Results

Example Structures to be created:

  • Slab: Si(001), SrTiO3(110) with O2 and SrTiO terminations
  • Simple interface: Ge(001)/Si(001)
  • Interface with ZSL: Gr/Ni(111), SiO2(001)/Si(111), MoS2/hBN4.

4. Q&A

Hands-on session for the attendees to try the functionality and ask questions.
