On June 7, Mat3ra hosted another A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour in Lafayette, California. The event brought together researchers and builders for informal discussions on robotics and AI for surgery and medical applications, AI safety and ethics, and turning real scientific problems into executable AI workflows.

On June 7, we hosted another A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour in Lafayette, California, bringing together researchers, builders, and community members for an informal afternoon of conversation at the intersection of AI and science.

As with previous gatherings, the event created space for thoughtful discussion across scientific and technical domains. This time, several topics stood out in particular: robotics and AI for surgery and medical applications, AI safety and ethical considerations, and the challenge of translating real-world scientific problems into actionable and executable AI workflows.

These conversations reflected what makes the series valuable. Rather than focusing on formal presentations, A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour is designed to encourage open exchange between people approaching science and engineering from different perspectives. The June 7 meetup once again showed how much insight can come from relaxed, in-person discussion around practical questions, emerging technologies, and research-driven problem solving.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the event engaging, friendly, and intellectually rich. It was especially exciting to see discussion move fluidly from advanced technical themes to broader questions about how AI can be responsibly applied in real scientific and medical settings.
